Cash Waller (protrayed by Zach Roerig) is a rodeo cowboy who travels from town to town, and met Tyra Collette on one of his stops in Dillon. Tyra begins taking an interest in him (to Landry Clark's dismay), and she begins abandoning all of her school responsibilities to be together with him (to Tami Taylor's dismay). Although initially appearing to be sweet and charming, Cash eventually begins to show his true colors to Tyra as they travel together as boyfriend and girlfriend. He is revealed to be a desperate and selfish man who owes a large sum of money to the wrong people, and starts behaving abusively towards Tyra. Eventually, Tyra calls Tami to ask her to pick her up and get away from Cash. Cash is last seen being restrained by Eric Taylor and yelling to Tyra as she leaves him for good.
