Henry Saracen (portrayed by Brent Smiga) is Matt Saracen's father who is in the army and returns to Dillon briefly to help take care of his mother, Lorraine. He has a hard time adjusting back to normal life and eventually returns to Iraq where he steps on an IED and is killed. His funeral is seen in The Son.
