Gaius Charles is an American actor who portrays Brian Williams on the Friday Night Lights television series.
Biography[]
Charles was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in New York City and Teaneck, New Jersey. Charles attended Teaneck High School and graduated in 2001. He earned a Bachelors of Arts degree at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and earned a Masters of Arts degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Charles also attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia.

Trivia[]
- Charles's first name Gaius is an homage to Gaius Julius Caesar's full name and also one of Jesus's early disciples, Gaius, to whom the Third Epistle of John is addressed. In 2007 he said of his name: "It's so unique that I guess as a kid you don't appreciate it. But as I've gotten older, people have come to really respond to it and really appreciate it for its unusual factor."
