Personality[edit | edit source]
Considering her surroundings in Dillon, Julie is a very liberal and free-thinking teenager. She doesn't eat meat, much to her father's dismay. She went to a gay bar to support her friend, Devin. She had a flirty relationship with her high school English teacher and then went on to have a full-fledged affair with her married TA.
Julie is one of the least popular characters with fans. Most of the teenaged characters come from broken homes and have to deal with absent, neglectful or even abusive parents. Many of them also struggle with poverty. Yet they are able to rise above these challenges.
Julie comes from a loving home with parents who are able to attend to her ever need and she spends most of her time acting like a spoiled brat. Matt Saracen deserved better.
